We are incredibly proud that Goldsmith Primary Academy was shortlisted for not one, but two national awards at this year’s prestigious TES Schools Awards 2025: Primary School of the Year and Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Setting of the Year.
Last Friday, a group of staff from across our school travelled to London to attend the glittering TES Awards ceremony, held at the Grosvenor Hotel on Park Lane, a truly inspiring celebration of excellence in education.
While we did not take home the final prize, being one of just eight schools across the UK shortlisted in each category is an enormous honour. It reflects the dedication, care, and ambition that define our school as a thriving place of learning – a place where every child is empowered to Dream, Rise and Aspire.
We are also incredibly proud to be part of a Trust (Windsor Academy Trust) that was also shortlisted for Trust Team of the Year (10 or more schools). Again, one of only eight nominated nationally.
Often described as the ‘Oscars of education’, the awards celebrate the very best in education across the country, recognising outstanding schools and individuals from both the state and independent sectors – from early years to secondary.
Jon Severs, Editor of TES Magazine, said:
“We’ve seen some incredible entries nominated in this year’s awards. The TES Schools Awards are a highlight of the year, and it’s important that we properly recognise the fantastic work that’s been done in education across the academic year.”
“Being shortlisted for two national awards is a moment of immense pride for our entire school community. It’s a reflection of the dedication, care, and relentless commitment shown by our staff, children, and families each and every day. We are honoured to receive this recognition and deeply proud of what we continue to build together. A heartfelt thank you to our incredible EYFS team and to every member of Goldsmith staff who have created an environment where children feel valued, inspired, and supported to reach their full academic and personal potential every day.''
