At Goldsmith Primary Academy, we hold Study Tours every half term to open our doors to colleagues, partners, and the wider educational community. These events celebrate our journey as an Apple Distinguished School and provide a platform to demonstrate how teaching, learning, and technology work in harmony to unlock every child’s potential.
Each Study Tour highlights the innovative practice happening across our classrooms — from the inspiring child-led exploration of our Curiosity Approach in EYFS, to the powerful use of 1:1 iPads that transform learning, accessibility, and creativity across the curriculum. Visitors see first-hand how our pupils engage deeply, think critically, and take ownership of their learning in an environment that fosters curiosity, collaboration, and confidence.
These events also embody our Windsor Academy Trust value of civic leadership, as we share our expertise to support other schools on their own digital and pedagogical journeys. Through collaboration and transparency, we continue to refine our practice, celebrate our successes, and ensure that Goldsmith Primary Academy remains a beacon of innovation, inclusion, and excellence in education.

Goldsmith Primary Academy welcomes school leaders and practitioners to take part in our Study Tours, designed to share effective practice, support professional learning and contribute to system-wide improvement.
Our study tours provide visitors with the opportunity to see high-quality practice in action, engage in professional dialogue and reflect on approaches that strengthen teaching, learning and inclusion.
All Goldsmith study tours are built around the cornerstones of our practice. Every visit will include structured input and opportunities to observe:
Teaching and learning — including lesson design, engagement strategies and metacognitive approaches
Instructional coaching using STEPLAB — exploring how coaching is embedded to develop staff practice and sustain improvement
Digital technology — demonstrating how technology is used purposefully to enhance learning, accessibility and staff workload
All tours will also include a visit to Early Years provision, allowing delegates to see practice in context across the school.
In addition, visitors will see how our wider work around civic leadership, personal development and sustainability underpins school life. These elements form part of our culture and ethos, though they are not delivered as discrete training inputs during the tours.
While all study tours include a visit to Early Years, specific professional input on Early Years practice is reserved for the Inclusion, Early Years and Personal Development Study Tour, where this area is explored in greater depth.
