Everyone Has a Job at Goldsmith Primary Academy

At Goldsmith Primary Academy, we believe that every child should belong, achieve, and thrive. A true sense of belonging helps children to feel valued and connected to their school community — and from that foundation, they can achieve great things and flourish as individuals.

That’s why every pupil from Year 1 upwards has a job within school. By the end of Reception, every child will also hold a role, with some children in Nursery and early Reception already beginning to take on responsibilities suited to their stage of development.

These jobs — from Eco Warriors and Digital Leaders to Sports Squad members, Librarians, and Playground Leaders — give every child a meaningful role to play in the daily life of the school. Each job promotes pride, purpose, and responsibility, helping pupils understand that the success of our community depends on everyone contributing and supporting one another.

Through these roles, children live out the character virtues at the heart of our ASPIRE framework — respect, responsibility, resilience, compassion, creativity, and collaboration. They develop essential skills in leadership, teamwork, and communication, preparing them for life beyond school.
