At Goldsmith Primary Academy, we know that learning doesn’t just happen in the classroom. Unstructured time — at break and lunchtime — is a powerful opportunity for children to build friendships, develop character, and strengthen their wellbeing. Our carefully designed provision ensures that every pupil feels safe, happy, and engaged throughout the school day, helping them to belong, achieve and thrive.
Enrichment Clubs: Choice, Belonging and Opportunity
We are proud to offer an extensive range of lunchtime enrichment clubs, run voluntarily by our dedicated staff team who give up their own time to enhance pupils’ experiences. These clubs offer something for everyone — from Mindfulness, Science, and Spanish to Choir, Coding, Chess, Lego, Book Club, and a variety of Sports and Fitness activities.
Our enrichment programme provides children with opportunities to explore new interests, develop confidence, and build skills that complement our curriculum and ASPIRE values — respect, responsibility, resilience, compassion, creativity, and collaboration. Each club fosters inclusion and enjoyment, helping pupils to discover what makes them shine.
We understand that 21% of a child’s school day is dedicated to breaks, and we make every minute count. Playtime at Goldsmith is active, inclusive, and purposeful — designed to promote physical health, social connection, and emotional wellbeing.
Pupils are encouraged to take part in a variety of activities that promote teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving, with clear routines and adult presence ensuring that play remains safe, positive, and enriching for all.

By providing both structured enrichment and open play opportunities, we ensure that every child can find their place, develop their character, and enjoy being part of our vibrant school community.
At Goldsmith Primary Academy, unstructured time is never wasted time — it’s another way we help every pupil Dream. Rise. ASPIRE.
