Voluntary Section 5 Ofsted Inspection - November 2025

Goldsmith Primary Academy was inspected under Ofsted’s new School Report Card framework and achieved outstanding outcomes across all areas, in November 2025. The School Report Card replaces single-word judgements with a more rigorous and detailed evaluation of school performance. Under this framework, the Expected Standard already represents a high benchmark of quality. Schools judged above this level are recognised as demonstrating particularly strong or exceptional practice. Goldsmith Primary Academy was one of the first primary schools nationally to volunteer for inspection under this new framework.

Our inspection outcomes:

The inspection confirmed that Goldsmith Primary Academy is performing at an exceptionally high level.

The school was awarded the highest possible judgement of Exceptional in the following areas:

  • Inclusion

  • Leadership and Governance

  • Personal Development and Wellbeing

In all remaining areas, the school was judged to be operating at the Strong Standard, indicating practice well above the expected benchmark:

  • Achievement

  • Attendance and Behaviour

  • Curriculum and Teaching

  • Early Years

Safeguarding:

Under the School Report Card framework, safeguarding is judged separately using a clear binary outcome: Met or Not Met. The inspection confirmed that Safeguarding Standards are Met, providing assurance that the school’s systems, procedures and culture effectively keep children safe.

What inspectors said:

Inspectors described Goldsmith Primary Academy as an “oasis of calm and kindness”, noting that pupils are “extremely proud of their school.”

The report also highlights that:

  • Leaders have an unwavering determination to give every pupil the best possible start in life

  • The school’s work to promote pupils’ personal development is of the highest quality

  • Pupils’ behaviour is exemplary and they are kind, empathetic and polite

These findings reflect our commitment to high expectations, strong relationships and a culture where every child feels safe, valued and supported to succeed.
